CLASS OF 2026
MATT WILSON
Matt was a standout athlete, playing both volleyball and basketball at Northeastern High School, where he graduated in 1991.
He moved on to play volleyball at Ohio State University, first as a walk-on, then earned a scholarship and served as a team captain for two seasons, while starting as an outside hitter for the Buckeyes, that included a trip to the NCAA Final Four in 1994.
After graduating from Ohio State, Matt returned home and in 1996 was named head coach at his high school alma mater.
While Northeastern made the PIAA tournament in 2004, it was after that things really took off. Under Matt's guidance, the Bobcats won the state championship in 2010, and later embarked on a six-year state title run from 2013-2018.
His teams also won nine District III championships, 13 YAIAA division titles and 10 YAIAA tournament championships.
In all, he coached at Northeastern for 26 years and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2012.

Greg Baum
Greg graduated from Dallastown High School in 1967, where he earned multiple letters in cross country and track.
He went to Slippery Rock State College (now University), graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics Education and went on to teach math and coach cross country at York County School of Technology.
Greg's passion was always helping the lives of young people and he became a charter member of the York County Chapter of PIAA Track and Field Officials. In 1976 he became a charter member of the York County Road Runners Club, promoting the sport in numerous ways.
Yet, Greg's biggest impact may have began in 1975 when he became a dealer for an athletic shoe company, creating Flying Feet Sports Shoes. He opened the legendary retail store in 1982.
In this role, he supplied many of the local schools and athletes not only footwear, but uniforms and other items - always providing the best service possible along the way.
Greg's contributions to the York County running - and athletic -community is second to none.

JOE KLINEDINST
Before his tragic passing, Joe Klinedinst was a 1994 graduate of Dallastown High School where he participated in football, wrestling and baseball.
In 1999, Joe graduated from Millersville University where he was a member of the wrestling team for four years.
Joe returned to Dallastown High School in 2000 as a teacher of technology education and video - film production. He coached baseball, wrestling and cross-country.
In 2006, Joe hiked the Appalachian Trial and took up kayaking, mountain biking and trail running, competing in his first triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 mile run) in 2008.
Joe ran in the 2014 Boston Marathon and went on to participate in the 2016 and 2019 Ironman Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii. In 2022 and 2023, Joe was ranked No. 1 for the 45-49 age group by USA Triathlon and before his passing qualified for the Ironman in 2024.
Joe started a coaching business named “JK Endurance Coaching’ and documented his Ironman comeback from a torn meniscus on YouTube.
Overall, Joe Klinedinst competed in more than 150 marathons and triathlons in his career, serving as an inspiration to all, which along with his coaching makes him a 2025 York Area Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
